Richard has been in the surveying industry since completing a Bachelor of Surveying at the Otago University in New Zealand.  He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team , particularly in regards to construction and cadastral surveying.

The team at Ellipse are lucky to have Richard - he is patient, attentive and thorough, both in the field and in the office. He is extremely diligent and constantly produces high quality work for our clients.

Richard enjoys the balance of indoor and outdoor work and working with numbers.  He enjoys the challenge of solving problems on construction sites and in cadastral surveys.

Richard was originally from Invercargill which is located in the South Island of New Zealand, however he has now settled in Canberra with his family. They are currently building a house on the outskirts of Canberra. In his spare time, Richard enjoys mountain bike riding, running and fishing.

Throughout his time in college, he attended an extra curricular Astrophysics course at ANU and was a finalist in the BHP Science and Engineering Awards. He is now completing his Bachelor of Surveying at UniSQ.

Thomas decided to pursue a career in surveying as the idea of a job that lets him work both indoors and outdoors, using math and computer programs like CAD, really appealed to him.

In his free time, Thomas loves spending time outdoors, enjoying nature, whether it's biking, running, fishing, or going on hikes.

We are grateful to have such an intelligent and hard working team member join us. Thomas is always quick to learn new aspects of the trade and is always eager to assist.  We are excited to work with such a wise and respectful young surveyor.
